Peripass shifts into high gear in the Netherlands with launch of strategic partnership with Securitas
Peripass, the provider of digital Yard Management solutions, is fully committed to European growth and is shifting up a gear to further strengthen its market position in the Netherlands. That's why Peripass has entered into a partnership with Securitas, a global provider of innovative security solutions. This partnership supports new possibilities for offering self-service access control for logistics sites. Customers can now benefit from the broad expertise in Yard Management solutions complemented by security and hardware expertise from Securitas.
In recent years, there has been a growing demand for sustainable and reliable solutions for the automation of access control and increased efficiency at logistics sites. In addition, safety within and around company premises is becoming increasingly important. Securitas' security solutions make use of advanced technology and hardware and provide greater speed, efficiency and control in the logistics process. Peripass and Securitas are combining their expertise to automate the check-in and check-out process for vehicles and to further optimize the logistics process. By simplifying and automating logistics flows, companies can boost efficiency, cut costs and enhance safety and security in numerous ways.

One-Stop-Shop for Yard Management
Securitas will provide solutions in Yard Management projects together with Peripass for the registration kiosks where truck drivers can check-in autonomously through a contactless system and for vehicle detection and recognition. This partnership allows Peripass to function as a one-stop-shop for Yard Management: for consultancy, hardware, software and the security of logistics sites. As a result, Peripass now occupies a unique position, in both the Netherlands and in Europe.
The integration of vehicle detection and recognition at logistics sites into the Peripass Yard Management platform ensures optimum throughput for both trucks and trailers, as well as additional site security. The logistics digital twin displays all information in real-time, based on access control systems, IP video cameras or ANPR cameras for automatic license plate recognition. By digitizing and automating the check-in process, all information can be processed in real time. This makes it possible to anticipate the day-to-day operations on the site in a more targeted manner and thus make faster and better decisions when dispatching vehicles, or to opt for automated dispatch. The Peripass platform offers new insights as a basis for handling more volume, enabling faster throughput and avoiding errors during loading and unloading. All data on arrival and departure times, turnaround times or compliance with rules represent an opportunity to analyze the performance of carriers.
Reinforcing market position in the Netherlands
In addition, Peripass is continuing to work on European expansion. Several large Dutch customers have already opted for Peripass in recent months: Refresco, Europe's largest producer of soft drinks and fruit juices, ID Logistics, a European logistics player and DHL's supply chain department. "The logistics sector is growing tremendously in the Netherlands, both in Rotterdam and beyond. The supply chain is becoming increasingly demanding – just think of warehousing and cross-docking, for example. Everything has to be faster, with an increasing demand for reliability and visibility," explains Leander Naessens, CEO of Peripass. "We see similar needs for managing business sites more efficiently across Europe – simplifying and automating logistics flows and creating transparency across the site. We bring expertise in terms of digitization and logistics know-how, but we have to be able to count on a strong, solid partner who takes care of security in an innovative way, and that's exactly what we have found in Securitas."
