Vetropack Overhauls its Logistics Operations at Boffalora Plant

[Ghent, Belgium, 28/08/2023] – In a significant move underscoring the convergence of technology and industrial prowess, Peripass is thrilled to reveal its partnership with Vetropack. Europe’s leading glass packaging producer. This collaboration heralds the establishment of a cutting-edge solution at Vetropack’s pilot plant in Boffalora, west of Milan. A landmark project for Vetropack with an investment of a whopping 300 million EUR. Representing the largest undertaking in the company’s history.

The Vision Behind the Partnership

Vetropack’s new facility is equipped with state-of-the-art glass furnaces and an automated warehouse. The facility emphasizes the importance of integrated logistical solutions to streamline operations. With Peripass, Vetropack aims to:

1. Enhance Driver Experience: Utilizing Peripass Self-Service-Registration, Vetropack aims to provide drivers with a seamless and friendly registration process. Expediting their check-ins.
2. Boost Logistics Efficiency: The objective is clear: reduce truck drivers’ drive-through time. In doing so, ensuring smoother, faster, and more efficient logistics operations.
3. Intelligent Dispatching: Leveraging the Peripass Control Tower, Vetropack will benefit from smart dispatching. Optimizing movement and minimal delays.
